Digital signage in the Zachry building and engineering department buildings is free for all College of Engineering departments, programs, and recognized engineering student organizations to help advertise their on-campus events.
Approval of all ads is at the discretion of the Digital Signage Team in coordination with individual departments when applicable. Ads involving personal or political statements will not be accepted. Advertisement of commercial products or services is prohibited.
Please review all requirements before filling out the request form linked below. Ads that do not follow these requirements will be returned with a list of necessary edits to be made by the requester.
Reservation Requirements
- All reservation requests must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to the requested reservation start date.
- Submissions will not be accepted for events less than a week away or more than a month before the event date.
- The maximum duration for digital signage reservations is two (2) consecutive weeks. If space permits, additional time may be approved by submitting a new request on the last day of the current reservation.
- Only one digital signage ad per event will be approved.
Design Requirements
- All images must be PNG or JPG format, 72 ppi, and the file size must be below 2 MB.
- Horizontal ads must be 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (16:9).
- Vertical ads must be 1,080 x 1,920 pixels (9:16). This format is currently only available on the Student Organization Events & Announcements screens in Zachry.
- QR codes must be accompanied by web URL text. Shortened URLs such as tx.ag, uDots, bit.ly, etc. are preferred.
- Follow all best practices.
